Gnosis is the Greek word for experiential knowledge.

A true seeker goes beyond the intellectual study or mere belief in spiritual principles and instead endeavors to verify those principles through direct experience.

Gnosis is the mystical insight that reveals itself within the consciousness of the individual.

Gnosis is not a product of time, place, culture, or personality. It is the essential perennial truth which has been present since the dawn of humankind. It has been called the golden thread that runs through all great religions and spiritual traditions. Every teaching that contains a spark of truth contains gnosis.

Throughout time, sages and saints have addressed the reality of human suffering and offered methods for the path of liberation.

This path is found within our own consciousness. When we awaken to our reality as an essence-a spark of Divinity, we can begin to liberate ourselves from our mechanical nature and discover the infinite potential that exists within the profound bosom of the moment.

Gnostic Meditation

Meditation is an integral and foundational element to our way of life. We begin teaching  meditation techniques immediately. We slowly build a strong foundation so that we can experience revelation within.

Concentration, meditation, and ecstasy are the three fundamental steps of Gnostic meditation. Concentration is to fix all the attention, all our spiritual Being, on a certain point, internal or external to our physical body. Meditation is when the subject and object become one and the same. And this is only possible through the spiritual Being. Ecstasy is the direct experience of this loving union between the subject and the object.

About our Gnostic Center

The Missoula Gnosis Center is a specialized school of esoteric knowledge where students learn the teachings of universal Gnosticism.

These consist of meditation, esoteric yoga, consciousness, psychology, self-transformation, esoteric anatomy, the Hebraic Kabbalah, alchemy, sacred sexuality or tantra. Likewise, Kundalini, clairvoyance, psychic powers, dream yoga and astral projection (also known as out of body experiences or lucid dreams). Also included, spiritual initiation, tarot, runes, astrology, Buddhism, the great world religious scriptures, and many other spiritual subjects.

So we study the wisdom of both east and west in a comprehensive, didactic way, unlike many other forms of spirituality that focus on one specific religion alone. Certainly, at the Missoula Gnosis Center we draw upon a wide body of resources for
a very specific spiritual practice: that of radically transforming our consciousness, so as to reunite with divinity and procure the alleviation of suffering for all sentient beings.

Origins of Gnosis

Gnosis is called the ‘Doctrine of the Synthesis’. It synthesises the most essential aspects of all of the ancient mystery schools, religions, and esoteric systems of the past and present into one doctrine. Yet Gnosis is not a derivative of any one of these systems. It predates all religions and systems, and is not the property of any individual or group.

Gnosis today is the modern form of an ancient system of learning which has existed through the history of man’s presence on Earth.

This wisdom was not available to the public, but revealed only to those who had been initiated into the mysteries. The Gnostic teachings, as taught in Gnostic centers around the world today, come from the writings and practices of a modern day teacher, Samael Aun Weor.  He synthesized the precepts of philosophers, mystics, and adepts of all times into a comprehensive system of knowledge and instruction.

Our Gnostic Esoteric School | Tradition and Revelation

An esoteric school is one that teaches the tradition – the lineage of teachings passed down unadulterated by previous spiritual masters, and provides the practical methods for realisation and revelation.

The heart of an esoteric school is the love for the light and the love for humanity. Because through the light we better serve and help our fellow man.

Lastly, the end goals of true esoteric schools is to clearly lay down the way back to the Divine origin of man.
